Mr. Fonseca was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1971. Following his service with the United States Marine Corps (1991-’94), Mr. Fonseca attended the University of California, Davis, where in graduated, cum laude, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1997. Mr. Fonseca received his Juris Doctorate degree from Tulane University School of Law School in 2000, where he served as the Managing Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. Upon admittance to the Louisiana Bar in 2000 and completion of a judicial clerkship with the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal, Mr. Fonseca entered private practice in 2001, founding his law firm and launching Standard Title, LLC.
Mr. Groner graduated from Louisiana State University (B.S. 1977) and Louisiana State University Law Center (J.D., 1980). Admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1981. Mr. Groner has extensive transactional and litigation experience and has served the following positions:
- Appointed Trustee by Governor to Louisiana Public Facilities Authority, 2017
- Past Chairman, Health Education Authority of Louisiana (HEAL)
- Past Chairman, Iberia Medical Center board of trustees.
- Past Chairman, Industrial Development Foundation of Iberia Parish
Mr. Stockstill graduated from Louisiana State University (B.A. 2005) and Louisiana State University Law Center (J.D./D.C.L. 2009). Admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2009. Mr. Stockstill’s primary focus is within the firm’s litigation practice, with a concentration on personal injury, products liability, family law, successions, contract disputes and collections. Experienced litigator in both state and federal courts. Also has extensive practice in transactional matters, including estate planning and the drafting of wills, trusts, pre-nuptial agreements, business contracts, and residential and commercial leases. Member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Association, the Lafayette Bar Association, the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association and the Paula K. Woodruff Family Law Section of the Lafayette Bar Association.
Mr. Fletcher graduated from Wiley College (B.S., 2003, cum laude), Loyola University New Orleans College of Law School (J.D., 2007, magna cum laude), and was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2007. Mr. Fletcher practices in the area of general business, with an emphasis on corporate law, employment law, the formation and restructuring of business entities, corporate finance, secured transactions, and corporate and commercial litigation, employment litigation, particularly the defense of harassment and discrimination claims, wage payment claims, and non-compete agreements. Mr. Fletcher has extensive experience in the practice of health care law.
Mr. Carter graduated from Louisiana State University (B.S. 2010) and from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law (J.D. 2014), where he interned for the Honorable Greg Gerard Guidry, Associate Justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court. Prior to joining Standard Law, Mr. Carter served as in-house counsel for an oilfield service company and managed its commercial property holdings. Mr. Carter practices in the firm’ transactional section, where he focuses on real estate, title examination, succession administration and probate, and commercial and business related matters.
In his personal life, Mr. Carter loves spending time with his wife, Lauren, and their twin daughters, Collins and Claire. He also enjoys doing anything outdoors—hunting, fishing, golfing.
Ms. Bernhardt graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe (B.A. 2010, Political Science/French), where she was a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha honor society. Ms. Bernhardt earned her Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University Law Center in 2016. Prior to joining Standard Law, Ms. Bernhardt served as the Business Manager for Standard Title, LLC, and worked in the energy sector, as president of a company with exploration projects and mineral assets across the Gulf-South. Ms. Bernhardt’s personal and professional experience in real estate investment projects, government relations, entrepreneurial pursuits, and community involvement are highly valued by our clients.
Outside of work Ms. Bernhardt enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, playing golf, volunteering, art, and community and political activism. Ms. Bernhardt serves on the Board of Directors for the Acadiana Center for the Arts, the Advisory Board for the ABC Fund, the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Partnership for Children and Families, and is a member of the Junior League of Lafayette.
